  22. Not so long ago (assuming history isn't bunk), there were plenty of
  23. people around who would support a business that discriminated against
  24. blacks.

  27. For all the years betwen Plessy v. Ferguson and Brown v. Board of
  28. Education of Topeka, discrimination against blacks thrived and
  29. prospered in the South; now, thirty years after anti-discrimination
  30. laws were passed and enforced, racists in the South have gone from a
  31. substantial majority to a minority (though a significant one).  There
  32. might be a correlation.

  35. And unless there is a real reason to discriminate against homosexuals,
  36. the same tactics might work again.
