- Perhaps many people reported seeing previously dead people during
- this time. Of course, no one probably believed them. We don't
- even know how long after this event took place before it was
- generally known by all. That is why the apostles and disciples,
- who not only should have known that Jesus was going to rise again
- (He predicted it many times) were surprised because they may not
- have been aware of the reported sightings until much later.
- Matthew was only including what he had *later* heard.
