  13. I have been told that the quotation ('The laser is a solution without
  14. a problem' or similar) is given in a recent book on the
  15. history of the laser, authored by a woman.

  17. I think the book must be 'The Laser in America, 1950-1970 by Joan L
  18. Bromberg, MIT press, 1991.
  19. Unfortunately I can't get hold of a copy quickly; does anyone have one
  20. who would be prepared to look up the quote for me please?

  22. Two futher possible books are 'The Laser Guidebook 2nd edn, J Hecht, McG
  23. Hill 1992 and Laser Pioneers, J Hecht, Academic Press 1992'.
  24. I don't think either is the book refered to (since J H isn't a woman!)
  25. but they also might give the quote.

  27. I've ordered them all on inter library loan, but it takes at least
  28. 7-10 days and I need the answer sooner!
