- We've had to cut subscriptions to journals because of the big price hike
- primarily in European journals. We just can't afford an average 25% increase.
- Some are much worse. Our two Kluwer journals, Compositio Math. and J.
- Automated Reasoning, went up 65.5% and 35.1%, respectively. North Holland
- (Elsevier) journals went up an average of 30%, but Theoretical Comp. Sci. went
- up 48.1% ($2679 from $1808). Springer journals up 25% to 30%, Pergamon &
- Wiley up 25% to 50%. What do they think we're made of, gold?
