  11.                         THE SACKS SYMPOSIUM

  13. A conference in mathematical logic will be held May 13-16, 1993 at the
  14. Massachusetts Institute of Technology in honor of Professor Gerald
  15. Sacks on the occasion of his 60th birthday.  Invited speakers include:
  16. Harvey Friedman, Robin Gandy, Leo Harrington, Eugene Kleinberg, Simon
  17. Kochen, Georg Kreisel, Alistair Lachlan, Manuel Lerman, Alain Louveau,
  18. Menachem Magidor, Yiannis Moschovakis, Anil Nerode, Dag Normann,
  19. Richard Shore, Theodore Slaman, Robert Soare, Carol Wood, and Hugh
  20. Woodin.  There will be sessions for contributed papers and an evening
  21. banquet.  The conference will be supported by the NSF and local
  22. universities, and will enjoy the participation of the Mid-Atlantic
  23. Mathematical Logic Seminar (MAMLS) and the New England Set Theory
  24. Seminar (NESTS).  Some financial assistance will be available to
  25. students and recent Ph.D.'s.  Women and minorities are particularly
