- Happy Thanksgiving all!
-
- I have a couple of questions here. Thanks very much in advance for
- any replys.
-
- 1) Why is it that the ROM in my PC is so much slower than my RAM
- memory? That is, my read/write memory is 60ns, while my ROM is
- something like 120ns.
-
- 2) I've been trying to picture exactly how the memory in my computer
- is actually accessed. I assume I have 32 address lines coming from my
- 486, but do these lines go into something like a decoder with 2^32 out
- lines? I'm not an expert here, but I do seriously doubt this. If it
- gets too complicated to explain, then please let me know where I may
- look for this info.
-
- Again, thank you all for any help!

- What do you get when you cross Captain Picard and Dirty Harry?
- A starship captain walking around saying, "Go ahead punk, make it so."
