- I just bought this a few weeks ago. The outside is all plastic. It's
- the size and shape of a large ballpoint pen, except the tip is closed
- and flattened. It's powered by 2 AAA cells. When it gets within
- about 1/8" of a hot house-current wire (not the neutral), an led lights
- in the tip. It doesn't matter if current is actually flowing in the
- wire, and it doesn't matter if I'm near enough to capacitatively
- interact with the probe.
