- For our micromouse project we have decided to use dc reversible motors. We
- are trying to figure out what voltage and current ratings are typical
- for a project like this. It seems like 6 AA batteries would suffice.
- Our understanding of motors is quite limited, apparently control (for
- permanent magnet motors) is usually done by varying the armature voltage
- there seems to be a linear relationship with speed and this voltage. But
- how about current? how does one go about calculating what will provide
- enough torque to move the motors under the mouse's load?
-
- Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. Please respond directly
- I will post a summary if people are interested.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Kenn.
