- The reason you haven't heard from our FCC is that you live in Canada :)

- Seriously, the FCC has been known to raid exhibits at COMDEX. The FCC
- has been involved in regulating incidental emissions ever since the 1950s,
- when there was a rash of TV sets interfering with each other via their
- local oscillators. Uncertified computers are rather uncommon on the market
- in this country.

- The rules as I understand them specify what you can _sell_ rather than what
- you can _use_. Obviously the FCC doesn't go looking for homebuilt devices
- (although if an actual case of interference were to arise, they could
- restrict you from using an office-grade computer in a residential area,
- probably).
