- Thanks to all who replied. It was very useful and I will look up all
- the sources suggested. I didn't realize quite how much was involved
- in all this. :) As to legality, I don't think there will be a problem,
- so I'm not worried about that. What I was really thinking of was something
- like a homing beacon (which is how I should have phrased my request in
- the first place), a pulsed single frequency signal with a range of a few
- miles for maybe an hour.
