- The approaching 50th anniversary of the ASME Design Division gives
- us an opportunity to reflect on the importance of the practice of
- engineering design and design research. In an effort to foster
- the ongoing development of design research, the ASME Design Automation
- Committee strongly encourages suggestions, ideas and participation
- from the world-wide engineering design community including those
- in academia, industry, government agencies and national labs.
- Special subcommittees have been formed to address new research
- areas at the conference.

- All papers will be reviewed for publication in a bound proceedings

- ASME Journal of Mechanical Design, must submit copies of their papers
- separately to the Editor.
