- You would then have to hire someone to do the duties that the
- administrator could not do during those teaching period. In my
- district, the department heads are white elephants. Instead of
- making an administrator teach, we should require the teacher to
- be an administrator. By this I mean that the department head
- should be the one who makes the major decisions for the
- department. They should be the ones who evaluate and recommend.
- This would free up the administrator to do his/her job.
- Administrate. In my Eutopia, the department head does not
- teach; or at least teaches for only one period. The rest of the
- time is used for conducting the business of the department.
