- No, it does not. Any technology capable of repairing the damage caused
- by the freezing process would, almost trivially, be able to repair any
- other damage you could imagine and restore people to youth and
- vitality. To fix the freezing damage, you need to be able to go in and
- repair individual cells at the molecular level. Given that, you can do
- almost anything, biologically speaking.

- Well, so far as we know, rotting and being eaten by worms has zero
- recovery rate. Cryonics likely has a substantially higher capacity for
- survival than that. As happens with many medical treatments of unknown
- but likely efficacy, terminal patients tend to use them before all the
- variables are known, given that there is no better treatment available.
