  36. There is a Thomas Barnes who is a professor of physics and is active in the
  37. creationist movement.  Lots of creationist literature mentions his claim
  38. that the earth's magnetic field is exponentially decaying, at a rate that
  39. would fix the upper age limit of the earth at about 10,000 years.

  41. Apparently his opinions are not widely respected in the physics community.
