  17. I don't know about the rest, but this one is very probably true.  I have
  18. seen several computer animations (and graphics) completed by NASA (
  19. and JPL), which have had their scales changed.  In ALL of the cases I've
  20. seen, in the back ground a statement is made that says "vertical distances
  21. have been enlarged to enhance the features."  There is nothing wrong
  22. with changing scales to enhance features, I do it all the time when I
  23. make charts.
