  16. I had a mild case of plantar faciitus. A sports doctor prescribed some soft
  17. orthotics which I wear in my running shoes and my dress shoes at all times.
  18. I take out the removable sockliner first. This can be a problem with some
  19. shoes. I no longer suffer from the problem but the doctor recommends that I
  20. continue to wear them as arch supports to avoid future problems. I initally
  21. used cold packs after a run but never had to quit running. Some of my
  22. running friends had more severe cases and had a more difficult time getting
  23. rid of it.
