In the state of Colorado hunting accidents are less than 10 a year. This in a
state with the largest big game seasons in the lower 48. I'm a native and have
enjoyed the outdoors all of my life, I'm also a hunter. In Colorado it is
illegal to be in a state hunting area during big game season without 500 sqr inches
of blaze orange on the upper body, and wear a blaze orange hat. Nearly all of the
shooting accidents in the state are around vehicles (like 80%). Finally, 3 seasons back the state suffered no accidents and attributed this to education.
I run 50 mile weeks out of the Denver downtown area and am keenly aware of the traffic laws, thus keeping safe in an area of great harm. Be aware of your surroundings and we won't have to suffer another lose.
