- Let me throw my $0.02 worth in here about this. I always kinda liked
- the idea of those little 4x4 ATV's but had never really seen one used
- for more than joy riding by teenagers. That is, until my retriever
- club's field trial last Feb. It seems that 2 of our judges brought
- one with them, I guess to rebird between dogs (field trial distances
- can be rediculous - but that's another issue). It rained that
- weekend to the point that 4x4 trucks were getting stuck in the mud
- to their axels (both small and large trucks). But this little
- Susuki ATV was pulling them out - uphill - and with the truck engine
- off! (i'm not making this up). And it didn't just do this once.
- It pulled out no less than 8 of these trucks (they were stuck in a
- line - it looked kinda funny - except one was mine). The guy brought
- his ATV on a trailer on the back of his truck, and turned around
- and put the trailer on the hitch on the back of the ATV. I don't
- have one yet, but I was sold on them that day! Put a small wench
- on it, and you have the ultimate in hunting vehicles.
-
- Of course, you will still need that full sized Ford or Chevy
- 4x4 supercab to get the ATV to your hunting grounds ;-)
