- note to moderator: I know this is getting away from hunting stuff, but
- imho, it does affect the ability of people to hunt. And it (this post)
- doesn't talk about the morality of hunting/guns, just the future
- possibility of people to particpate. Please let me know if you plan
- on *not* posting this so that I can send it to Mary personally.

- At least you have the guts and intelligence to know when you are being
- hoodwinked. Most people are too stubborn to admit it and change
- their position. (btw: i also used to be on the "wrong" side of
- this issue until someone explained it to me).

-
- just 2 problems:
- 1) the networks probably would refuse to run them. I'm sure that
- the NRA would like to run *some* commercials during primetime on
- the major networks, but have heard (is this true) that they refused
- to take their (the NRA's) money.
-
- 2) the cost. Ross Perot dumped what, $60 million into those few
- infomercials? I'm not sure how many he ran, but I'm willing to
- bet that they cost several million apiece. I'm not sure that
- would be money wisely spent by the NRA.
-
- One thing I would like to see the NRA develop, would be a college
- scholarship program for pro-gun/pro-hunting journalists. Of
- course, getting these folks jobs in an anti-hunting maketplace
- after graduation might prove to be difficult, but it would be a
- start.
