- I've been noticing quite a few stock and pistol grip kits that would
- facilitate the conversion of an AK47 Sporter to look like its pre-ban
- cousin, (minus its bayonet lug and removable barrel nut). I've seen
- these specifically for MAK90 and stamped receiver Norinco Sporters.
-
- It seems like the conversion of these rifles to look like there "pre-ban"
- cousins would cause a problem with BATF. However, the kits I saw that are
- available don't require a FFL to purchase. I own a MAK90 Sporter and
- would very much like to convert it but, I'm concerned about the legalities.
-
- Could someone with BATF experience please shed some light.
-
- Thanks, Cliff.
