  17. The riveted Colt magazine that I dissected simply required the drilling of
  18. the rivet (a .120 diameter drill fits well).  With the rivet gone, the
  19. magazine can be disassembled and cleaned and if you so desire the
  20. U-shaped block can be omitted.  If you save the block then you could
  21. restore the magazine to a 5-round capacity if the need arises.
