- My brother-in-law has an '88 Scorpio. He has had considerable work done
- on the suspension and front end. The dash has cracked. He has had some very
- strange wiring faults. The clear coat is peeling off on the hood. All of
- the work he has had done turned out to be very expensive in both parts and
- labor. He still loves the car but he is beginning to get realistic about
- it and is considering selling it (since he got married and now has a child
- to look after$$$$).
-
- The cracking dash is a known problem on file with NHTSA (call them at
- (800) 424-9393 to report problems with your Ford and/or request data).
- Ford should have foreseen this and should pay for it. A judge would
- probably make them pay for it in small claims court.
