I have to go along with everything said here.  I've had 3 Rangers.  All have had fuel injection, and V6's.  Two of them were stick, 2 were extended cabs, and the current one has the 4.0 L V6, auto, and air.  I had excellent luck with all of them and they have always done whatever I needed them to do.  I do prefer the auto trans as the 2 five speeds I had made me feel like I was rowing a boat.  My biggest complaint with the stick is I think it should have a lower first gear as the times I used them off-road
