  15. Slightly off the subject...I got around to pouring water through my carb
  16. just before my last oil change.  I used about a quart, pouring it in the
  17. primary venturi over the course of about 5 minutes.  It stalled once but
  18. started right back up (phew!).  Afterwards, I pulled a plug and found
  19. that while it wasn't squeaky clean, what carbon there was on the plug
  20. came off easily with a fingernail. I changed the oil and found that the
  21. old oil had a significant amount of water in it.  I suspect this wouldn't
  22. have been the case had I run it at temperature for a while.  Anyway, it's
  23. been a week of spirited driving (well...as spirited as you can get in an
  24. '85 sentra, 120K mi.) and milage has gone up about 5%, pinging is gone
  25. (usually very pronounced when pulling away from lights, up hills, etc.), and 
  26. power is noticeably better.  I've never been one to subscribe to miracle cures
  27. or too-good-to-be-true additives but this is definitely one I'll do again.
