- I'm looking for a small pickup, something no larger than a Chevy S10 or Ford
- Ranger. Basic transportation, light hauling around town, commuting.
-
- Essential requirement is enough backseat to cram two small children into
- in a pinch. The tiny jump seats in the S10 and Ranger extended cabs are
- good enough, barely.
-
- Questions:
-
- 1) Other than the S10, the Ranger, and the Isuzu spacecab, what
- choices are there?
-
- 2) Anything I should know about reliability, other's experiences? I've
- never met a happy Ranger owner, but I don't have a statistically
- significant sample.
-
- 3) When did Consumer Reports last review this class of vehicle?
- [Please, no flames about the utility of CU as a information source.
- I am aware of CU's virtues and limitations and I know how to weight
- information according to the source].
-
- 4) Safety in general, and especially are the little jump seats safe when
- used with an infant or child's car carrier?
-
- Please reply by email - I can't follow this group with any regularity.
- Thanks in advance.
