- I'm not sure why everyone thinks Fords are Lemons... I'm on my third Ford, and
- have liked all three. I drove an 83 Mustang until 100,000 with just
- maintenance and a heater core at 85K. My current cars are an 89 Mustang 5.0
- and an 89 Ranger. Both are excellent cars. The only problem I've had was the
- Mustang 5.0 had it's catalytic converters go out while under warranty. The
- dealer replaced it free -- and no problems yet (40K). The Ranger just goes and
- goes...
-
- I'm also really pleased with my local dealer, Wilson Motors, as they always
- give me good service, and often tell me when I call for a tune-up or something,
- to wait because they're coming out with a special on that particular repair.
-
- The biggest pieces of junk I've seen are GM products -- I once rode in an Olds
- in which the dash bounced and rattled so bad it was unbelievable. I also used
- to own a 4Runner before the Ranger and it was unbelievable to replace parts
- on. Wipers were $15 a piece, mud flap replacements were $38 a piece, a bumper
- (when my hubby backed into a tree), was $500!
-
- I'll buy another Ford !!
-
- p.s. My folks love their Explorer too!
