- I have a UNIDEN RD500W (X, K, and Ka wideband) and it give false
- alarms on the Ka band. I happen to have a cellular phone in my
- car and when I use it, the radar goes crazy on the Ka band.
- Sometime it doesn't phase it though; and one time it got K band
- interference.
-
- I also get Ka band false alarms because of the leaky detectors
- in other cars.
-
- My advice is that if you don't have cops using Ka Wideband in
- your state, avoid it. If you do, you're going to have to
- learn to live with it.
