- There are other ways to avoid smacking into the back wall of your garage:

- 1. Attach an old tire to the back wall. When you bump up against it, stop.

- 2. Hang a tennis ball from a long string, at about the place where your
- windshield should be when the car is where you want it. When your
- windshield hits the tennis ball, stop.

- 3. Paint a mark on the left or right wall of the garage at about the place
- your body is in the car when the car is where you want it. When you
- drive in and are lined up with the mark, stop.
