- My friend's late 80's Grand Am also with a Quad4 also blew a head gasket
- and developed some rust. It took us 3 weekends to replace the head
- gasket, but we did it ourselves. The parts salesman at the dealer
- was surprised: "I never heard of a blown head gasket in one of
- these cars".

- My friend likes this car a lot despite the problems, but I would stay
- far away from it myself.
