- Pickups:
-
- If you want a "working vehicle" get Ford or Dodge. They don't die like
- the GM crap does (go ahead, flame me if you wish but I won't change my
- mind). If you want yuppie styling, then you may like the GM look. Around
- my area, the Boss' rig is often a Chevy or GMC for the "image" but the
- company work vehicles are almost always Ford.
-
- If you are going to be hauling 4 X 8 sheets of plywood/sheetrock, steer
- away from the GM rigs. The bed won't quite be sized for your needs.

- Diesels:
-
- Go with the Cummins (I understand Ford will be going with that motor, too)
- if you can afford it. The International engine in the Ford trucks is okay
- but lacks the all-out-power of the Cummins. I know several people that
- have been ripped badly with the GM 6.2 (Fuel pumps/injection most of the
- problem here, plus the standard THM 700/R-4 nightmares).
