  10. I own a 1992 Saturn SC with 14,500 miles on it - it was purchased in
  11. June of 1991. Here are my comments on the car:
  12.  
  13. 1-Cruise Control is fine and somewhat loud when disengaged but not
  14.   all that bad. 
  15. 2-You need to watch where the lap belt buckle is when you close the
  16.   doors. Leave it in the wrong place and when you close the door,
  17.   you will damage the inside lower door trim. Both are mine were damaged
  18.   but the dealer fixed the passenger side one last week (no charge).
  19.   I will hold off fixing the driver side for a while.
  20. 3-The Rear seat is small with no leg room to mention - but again its
  21.   a sports coupe.
  22. 4-The cassette tape machine occasionally grabs a tape and won't
  23.   release it - be sure to insert your tapes straight.
  24. 5-Head room is tight - I lean the seat back a bit and that works fine.
  25.   BTW I have a sunroof.
  26. 6-Bumpers - GREAT:
  27.   I backed my SC into a solid metal pole at 5mph and only the slightest
  28.   damage to the rear bumper. 
  29.   I hit a (movable) food store shopping cart holder rather sharply and
  30.   sent it 30 feet (it doesn't have wheels). It bent my license plate
  31.   rather sharply but the bumper was undamaged in the least. I would
  32.   guess I was going 10 mph at the time.
  33. 7-Turning radius is great, nice sharp turns.
  34. 8-Economy:
  35.   Service visits are CHEAP:
  36.      1,000 checkup - FREE
  37.      3,000/6,000/9,000/12,000 - $25 or so each
  38.      15,000 was $30
  39.      The Dealership (Saturn of Rt 23, Pomptain Plains NJ) is TERRIFIC! -
  40.        they go out of their way to please you.
  41.   Mileage:  Town- 25mpg, Highway- 35mpg.
  42. 9-Lots of little nice things: car will beep if you leave lights on or 
  43.    key in the ignition, etc
  44. 10-Horsepower is about 124 and thats plenty for this car. Engine is
  45.   a bit noisy - reminds me of a triumph or mg of days past.

  47. Overall- this car is a *good* car and I am happy with it. I use it for
  48. commutting and its fine for that. Its NOT a family car (rear seat too small)
  49. but otherwise fine.
  50. BTW-my other car is a `92 CAMRY XLE V6.
