  24. just curious if anyone else has noticed this, or maybe i'm way off..but..
  25. while thumbing through one of my copies of European Car, i noticed this one
  26. add...it was for a BMW soup up shop...i can't think of the name of the company
  27. right now..but they had a BMW 850i sitting there, with their custom wheels, 
  28. and their aeroFX(i think)..but i was struck by the amazing similarity of the
  29. way this car looked in the add to the new probes...of course, i doubt the
  30. similarity would be so close in a real life comparison, but that picture
  31. (mostly cuz o' the wheels, i think) looked almost EXACTLY like a new GT...

  37. hmm..ford doesn't like to offer loaner cars when they work on your car
  38. either, even in cases where it will take a couple of weeks, and it is 
  39. because they screwed up....(or at least the shop my mother had her
  40. ford serviced at didn't like to..for that day, they would take her
  41. somewhere, but they didn't offer a loaner car til she bitched up a storm,
  42. and then she didn't feel it was worth it..they gave her a LTD...she'd have
  43. paid less to fly than she did for gas in that hunk!..and it was gutless
  44. besides!..ford can't get it all right)

  56. reverse is a ford thing...we've owned (in my collective family) 3 brand
  57. news since 88, one a stang, one truck, and one escort, and none of them
  58. ever like going into reverse..sometimes they do..but not always..you 
  59. have to let out the clutch..and then try again..but try not to grind it..
  60. as for the first gear..they tend not to like to go unless the car is 
  61. stopped..it's almost kind of a safety thing there..to keep newbie
  62. stick drivers from accidentally hitting first instead of 3rd or 5th..

  64. glad you like the car...almost makes me hope that i can afford one when
  65. they soup up that little v6 to make it so that it will actually outrun
  66. the old turbo model four..they got the body better, and a better motor,
  67. the just need to do a little more tuning..though i'm sure the v6 has a 
  68. much more pleasant power curve, the all out performance is not yet up
  69. to par with it's improved looks, IMHO.
