- Turns out I needn't have worried. Instead of the channel I can hit the
- "Input" button on the remote and depending on whether I press it once
- or twice it will either tape video from a chosen channel + audio from
- the audio in lines or the audio alone. Took me till 3 in the morning to
- discover this undocumented function, but it was worth it.. I wouldn't
- have been able to go to sleep otherwise.
-
- Kinda funny having the opening piece on Relativity's "Gathering Pace"
- playing while cowboys ride by...seemed appropriate somehow.
-
- Some questions for you Hi Fi VCR users out there:
-
- 1) Is recording in SLP (or whatever its called - 6 hours on a "120"
- tape) OK for good audio? I'm not out for CD quality here.. just
- 120 minute cassette off-the-air FM quality.
-
- 2) How important is auto-tracking? The Samsung doesn't have it; a
- Sony that cost perhaps another $13 had it, but the Samsung had
- an "index search" feature so I bought it. I fiddled with the
- tracking but couldn't discern a difference.
