  35. Actually, a large number of the people who buy DATs bought portable ones for
  36. RECORDING live music.  They are great for that because they make really good
  37. recordings and are much easier to carry around than a reel to reel recorder. 
  38. However, I doubt if someone would use a DCC for the same reason because they
  39. don't make as good recordings and cost more than a DAT, but it is possible.

  43. P.S., before they had portable DATs, people did the same thing with
  44. Walkman Pros, though this is a small segment of the population.
