  12. I was kind of scouting for a discman recently, and had heard quite a lot
  13. of comments on certain desirable and the undesirable ones too. finally,
  14. i got of with a technics xp-700, and it's one of the slimmest in its
  15. range.

  17. the snag i always hear is with the player's sensitivity to shock .. not
  18. those g-shocks like when you drop the thing. it's those minor bumps esp
  19. like walking, going up and down stairs, etc. what normally happens after
  20. these shock is that the track will be skipped, or some unpredictable
  21. consequence.

  23. for my technics, this model is not that sensitive to such shocks, but
  24. even if the track skips, playback will just pause for a second and will
  25. resume at the spot before the disturbance.
