- I was kind of scouting for a discman recently, and had heard quite a lot
- of comments on certain desirable and the undesirable ones too. finally,
- i got of with a technics xp-700, and it's one of the slimmest in its
- range.
-
- the snag i always hear is with the player's sensitivity to shock .. not
- those g-shocks like when you drop the thing. it's those minor bumps esp
- like walking, going up and down stairs, etc. what normally happens after
- these shock is that the track will be skipped, or some unpredictable
- consequence.
-
- for my technics, this model is not that sensitive to such shocks, but
- even if the track skips, playback will just pause for a second and will
- resume at the spot before the disturbance.
-
- fyi, i got the set at a bargain price too !
