- Playing a Dolby C-encoded tape on a deck set to decode Dolby B will give a
- result not unlike playing a Dolby B-encoded tape on a deck with no Dolby at
- all. The treble will not be uniformly 10 dB too high; the difference between
- the actual and correct treble level depends on the amount of treble in the
- original material.

- the result is going to be pretty far from the original.
