  15. On my new NAD 505 changer, I've noticed random CD skipping of about a second,
  16. (e.g., if the track being played is at time 01:00 (mm:ss), it'll suddenly
  17. jump to 01:02) at every couple of CDs, though sometimes it doesn't skip at
  18. all for the whole duration of the disc(s) being played.

  20. Although it's nothing serious, when the skipping happens a little more
  21. frequently during the play of a single track (and that is rare though),
  22. it gets to be quite noticeable and uncomfortable.

  24. When the same CDs were played on my older Sony D303 portable, I never heard
  25. them skip (except when the 303 was being bounced around while walking with
  26. it on my side).

  28. Maybe it has something to do with the moon being in the right phase, and
  29. the planets being aligned in synchronous harmony with one another...
