- I bought the bottom-of-the-line 5-disc Technics player - the one with the
- 'hinged' cover - a little over a year ago. I've had NO problems with it and it
- only cost about $150 dollars. The drawer style ones are functionally the same
- - except, of course, for the the drawer. Mucho bang for your buck. (BTW, I
- really like the hinged cover approach - be damned the dust and all - it's fun
- to quickly slap 5 cds in at a time...)
-
- Previous to that I had another nearly bottom-of-the-line single-disc Technics
- player (SP-P220) since 1987. I've also had NO problems with it - as a matter
- of fact I'm using it in my office, listening to the Kronos Quartet, as we
- 'speak'.
-
- (My mom has an older Technics player - no problems yet. A friend of mine has
- the same 5-disc player - no problems either. No promises though!)
