- In today's (Sun, Nov 22, 92) Seattle times on page B2,
- I read that Victoria B.C. continues to dump raw sewage directly in to the
- Strait of Jaun de Fuca. In a vote by the people of that city they
- overwhelmingly rejected city proposals to treat the city's sewage
- before it is discharged in to the Strait. Aparently Victoria is the
- city of it's size on the West coast of North America that discharges
- it's sewage into the sea without any treatment....
- Folks this is nasty, that (water) from the strait of Jaun de Fuca
- flows into Puget Sound.
- Maybe it is time to pressure our government to pressure their
- government into fixing this. Or (threaten a) boycott of B.C. and Victoria
- B.C. products and tourism.
