  31. library to run additional Dynix library software modules.  In
  32. particular a serials (periodicals) module, reserve book room (3-day
  33. loan, closed reserve) module and a journal citation index will be added.
  34.  Otherwise the answer is yes, it is a bigger dinosaur.

  38.  Sigh, no.  This can be achieved running the Dynix software with a
  39. Pick emulator on a Un*x box - which is the only upgrade path beyond
  40. the Ultimate 7000 series equipment.

  46. serial interfaces.

  48.  So why wasn't the Dynix/Pick emulator/Un*x box option taken at this
  49. time?  I'm really not in a position to answer this publicly, other
  50. than to say that I feel that the right decision was made under the
  51. circumstances.  Am I starting to sound like a politician? :) Such
  52. questions should be directed to the Librarian or the Library
  53. Committee.
