  23.    I mean, a view of creativness that refers specifically to monetary gain is
  24. pretty horrendous, don't you think? The articstic impulse is supposed to be
  25. "above" all that. If you can make a profit at it, then fine. But otherwise
  26. you still create.
  27.    Don't get me wrong. I don't want to strip Playboys power to control thier
  28. images. I want them to retain copyright. I want them to have the power to
  29. stop a.b.p.e.  But I also want a.b.p.e to continue as long as I see it as
  30. harmless. I do see it as harmless, and would argue with the publishers about 
  31. it. I think I could convince them to allow it to continue.

  39.   The case is more complicated than this, I think. There are other pay BBS's
  40. that go unsue, I am sure. I think EH was sued because they threatened 
  41. another BBS because that BBS was carrying images EH had scanned. It was when
  42. EH claimed ownership of the images that Playboy was provoked to act. The
  43. case actually encourages me.
