- Bob Donahue writes a lot of stuff about insurance in MA,
- mostly true, except for:
- [...] and State Farm will not insure cars in MA (that
- can also mean cars *driven* in Mass, even visiting) - State Farm also is
- not widely regarded as being scrupulous with claims when they don't
- want to be!
-
- I've not had problems with State Farm and claims, but one person's
- experience isn't enough to generalize about.
-
- However, they do insure cars in MA. They just won't write new policies
- in MA. When I returned to the state after 3 years in Florida,
- State Farm had no problem transferring my insurance to MA. They
- did assure me that, should I drop my coverage with them, I would not
- be able to transfer back for as long as I remained a MA resident.
-
- Bob, this point was important enough, that you should have checked
- with them before posting it. Don't panic people unecessarily.
