  12.   We decided to replace our aging gas furnace, and to add central air
  13. conditioning and a new humidifier at the same time.  I was surprised by
  14. the range of quotes we received for comparable equipment: the highest was
  15. fully 50% above the lowest.  This is one area where it pays to do some
  16. comparison shopping.
