- The mention of using rabbits to help heat a greenhouse
- reminds me of another clever idea which probably has been
- used for centuries in other forms, for heating.
- Composting, especially use of manure or other high nitrogen
- material will generate considerable heat. This is a little
- complicated and burning must be prevented using proper
- layering of materials.
- Anyway there are several large greenhouses currently using
- this method. I believe in Minnesota; I will see if I can
- find the article. They do have a good supply of manure from
- a neighboring dairy farm to replenish the composting as
- the heat cycle finishes, etc.
