To the parent who has a 20 month old who likes to disrobe, particularly at
bedtime. It is good to be concerned about the cold weather and your child
being cold at night. I have always worried about this with my son, also 20
months. What I have found that before the colder weather set in we would alwaysfind him without his covers on him in the morning. I worried he was getting too
cold. But now that the house is much cooler at night he keeps his covers very
much on him. We went out and bought him some of those blanket sleepers, the
one piece kind with feet in them. The sleeper zips up the front. Perhaps you
could get some blanket sleepers and then pin the top of the zipper so it could
not be unzipped.
Also, I would highly recommend that you take your child with you shopping when
yet get some blanket sleeper pajamas and let them choose which one(s) he/she
wants. This is incentive to liking/enjoying their pajamas. We bought my son
a Barney blanket sleeper pj and we never have any problem getting him into it
because he likes Barney no much. I have found that Penneys carries a number of
different motifes (Sesame Street, Barney, generic) in pajamas that maybe your
child would like. Of course, you will have to find out what is available i
your area.
If your child still insists on disrobing in bed you might consider putting in
a child size down comfortor. When it gets cold enough your child will cover
