  18. I have had Trochanteric Bursitis since a truck ran a red light &
  19. broadsided me. I was flung from the drivers seat into the passenger
  20. seat & twisted like a pretzel as I smashed my right hip into the
  21. passenger door. I have spent the last 8 years getting the bursa
  22. injected with cortisone/lidocaine and the problem just never goes
  23. away. I am trying to convince the dr. to just remove the offending
  24. bursa(e). The pain is really agonizing and makes it nearly
  25. impossible to walk, stand, or sit. Lying horizontal  used to help -
  26. now even that does not help. Has anyone here had Trochanteric
  27. Bursitis (or any kind of Bursitis) or has anyone ever had a bursa
  28. removed? If you did, would you tell me if the surgery helped you?
