- [This is from the Chronic Pain Conference]
-
- I have had Trochanteric Bursitis since a truck ran a red light &
- broadsided me. I was flung from the drivers seat into the passenger
- seat & twisted like a pretzel as I smashed my right hip into the
- passenger door. I have spent the last 8 years getting the bursa
- injected with cortisone/lidocaine and the problem just never goes
- away. I am trying to convince the dr. to just remove the offending
- bursa(e). The pain is really agonizing and makes it nearly
- impossible to walk, stand, or sit. Lying horizontal used to help -
- now even that does not help. Has anyone here had Trochanteric
- Bursitis (or any kind of Bursitis) or has anyone ever had a bursa
- removed? If you did, would you tell me if the surgery helped you?
- Thanks...
