  18. Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you with some answers about
  19. fibromyalgia.  I am acting purely as a go-between here ... my wife Carolyn
  20. will dictate the rest of this reply ... and I will type so, here's
  21. Carolyn...
  22. Can you tell me where you live?  Have you had any blood tests?  Do you
  23. have any arthritis?
  24. I have osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia and it was pretty well diagnosed by
  25. a rheumatologist with blood tests.
  26. We live in the Toronto area and I got in contact with the Canadian
  27. Arthritis Society and you should be able to find out some information in
  28. your area by contacting the arthritis association in your area.  Ask them
  29. if they have any information on fibromyalgia.
  30. There are two booklets put out by LRH Publications, P.O. Box 8,
  31. Station Q, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M4T 2L7.  One is called "Coping
  32. with Fibromyalgia" (38 pages) and the other is called "Fibromyalgia -
  33. Fighting Back" (40 pages).
  34. With fibromyalgia there are certain distinct ways to diagnose it.  There
  35. are specific "tender points" and other criteria that must be met.  All are
  36. explained quite well in the two booklets.
  37. SEE A RHEUMATOLOGIST (yes, I am shouting it) and have blood tests.  Let me
  38. know how it works out!.
