- Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you with some answers about
- fibromyalgia. I am acting purely as a go-between here ... my wife Carolyn
- will dictate the rest of this reply ... and I will type so, here's
- Carolyn...
- Can you tell me where you live? Have you had any blood tests? Do you
- have any arthritis?
- I have osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia and it was pretty well diagnosed by
- a rheumatologist with blood tests.
- We live in the Toronto area and I got in contact with the Canadian
- Arthritis Society and you should be able to find out some information in
- your area by contacting the arthritis association in your area. Ask them
- if they have any information on fibromyalgia.
- There are two booklets put out by LRH Publications, P.O. Box 8,
- Station Q, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M4T 2L7. One is called "Coping
- with Fibromyalgia" (38 pages) and the other is called "Fibromyalgia -
- Fighting Back" (40 pages).
- With fibromyalgia there are certain distinct ways to diagnose it. There
- are specific "tender points" and other criteria that must be met. All are
- explained quite well in the two booklets.
- SEE A RHEUMATOLOGIST (yes, I am shouting it) and have blood tests. Let me
- know how it works out!.
