  19. This question about giving deaf people braille menus is just part
  20. of a larger problem  -- which is that people are getting stupider.
  21. No matter whom you have to deal with, they don't know what they're
  22. doing.  My mother once said, regarding calling businesses or
  23. professionals on the phone --  They have these people answering the
  24. phone, and they train them to say two things ---"Hello" and "I
  25. don't know."   I have a friend who is into macrobiotics and
  26. ecology, and we were talking today about how stupid people are
  27. getting, and she says it's the chemicals in the food and air.
