  15. GENERAL QUESTION

  17. Could anyone suggest a source of inexpensive MSDOS business software?

  19. (I've looked through the SIMTEL20 archives, for example, and found no
  20. business shareware whatsoever.)

  22. The main thing we're looking for is an order-handling program for a small
  23. mail-order plant nursery business.  (Should keep track of orders, print
  24. packing lists, invoices, etc.)
  25.  
  26. Of secondary interest would be programs for things like payroll, inventory
  27. control, and perhaps general accounting.

  29. The price target is: well below $1000 (below $500?).  Except for a $100
  30. product which we can't locate, software packages that do what we want sell
  31. for on the order of $10,000. Way, way above what this very small business
  32. can afford.

  40. As to the product that we can't locate, I'm trying to track down a company
  41. called
  42.  
  43.     The MicroTyme Network, Inc.
  44.  
  45. which makes an "order-fulfillment" software product called
  46.  
  47.     "Easy Order"
  48.  
  49. The company that used to market "Easy Order" for MicroTyme no longer does
  50. business with them.  Says they used to be in San Diego, but perhaps have
  51. since moved to Atlanta.  We haven't been able to locate this company in
  52. either place (though if it's a small company, we could have missed them).  A
  53. relative of mine desperately wants a copy of "Easy Order" (which is the only
  54. inexpensive mailorder order-processing product he has heard of).

  56. If you have any pointers on how to contact this company or where to find
  57. a copy of this product, please let me know.
