- }Of couse they have a right on the scene. They DO NOT however have a
- }right to infringe on the patients right to privacy. Nor do they have a
- }right to impede my ability to render proper care. I would include in
- }this: Inserting themselves between myself and the patient to "get the
- }shot" or putting a bright video light in my face thereby reducing my
- }ability to even see a patient let alone treat them. When they do thing
- }of this nature is when there getting booted in the ass.

-
- My question for you, seeing that I am a television reporter, How many times do
- fire fighters and rescue personnel ASK for the media to stay out of the way?
-
- I have been to scenes where if it weren't for the bright video lights on the
- camera, some people would have never been found... some peoples lives may have
- never been saved. We do our best to help out the recue personnel. In return we
- ask to be treated with courtesy and respect. I will respect you if You respect
- me. As for patient privacy, I don't know about anybody else's state, our
- state here says: If the person is out in the Public, or a Public area, they
- can have their picture taken or their faces put on Television. However,
- morally if the TV producers wish to run graphic footage of decapatations or of
- peoples charred bodies that is their problem..
-
- As a reporter I just gather the news information and take the video footage.
- What my producers show on the air, is up to them..
